James has a deep understanding of business law, as prior to joining Kay Law in 2009, he was Deputy General Counsel at OpenText where he was responsible for all legal aspects of the mergers/acquisitions program and corporate governance. Prior to that, James was a Bay Street lawyer dealing with public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as securities law (e.g. initial public offerings of shares).
